Help & Support
What does Clean mode do?
Clean mode removes safe, temporary caches that automatically rebuild when needed. These are files your Mac creates to speed up apps, but they can be safely deleted without affecting your apps or personal data.
What does DeepClean mode do?
DeepClean includes everything in Clean mode, plus browser caches, developer tool caches, and AI/ML model files. Cleaning these may require you to re-download some content or sign back into certain apps.
Is it safe?
Yes. Clutterfall only removes cache files—never your personal documents, photos, or application data. You can review exactly what will be deleted before confirming any cleaning operation.
Why does Clutterfall need folder access?
macOS security requires apps to request permission before accessing your files. When you grant access to your home folder, Clutterfall can scan common cache locations to find files that can be safely removed.
How do I grant folder access?
When you first scan, Clutterfall will prompt you to select a folder. Choose your home folder (the one with your username) to allow full cache scanning. This permission is remembered for future scans.
Can I select which items to clean?
Yes. After scanning, you can expand each category to see individual items and toggle them on or off before cleaning.
